24th Vermont 100 a HUGE Success

The third weekend of July sees the annual Vermont 100 mile Ride and Run; a horse and ultra-marathon race that weaves it way around West Windsor, Woodstock, Pomfret, Reading and Brownsville. The race proceeds benefit Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. This year was the 24^th Annual Ride and Run with 290-100 mile runners starting the race at 4 AM on Saturday morning. This year also saw the inaugural 100K race with 35 runners making the 8 AM race start. The horse race consists of a 100, a 75 and a 50-mile endurance ride. Race organizers have lots planned for the 25^th anniversary next July including a T-shirt design contest that could land the winner a free race registration.
