Vermont Forward-Be Smart, Be Safe in Weathersfield Vermont April 26 edition

Park and Ride Pavilion at former Romaine Tenney Farm A pavilion and small garden have been installed at the I91 Exit 8 Park and Ride in Ascutney VT. The site is the former farm of Weathersfield farmer Romaine Tenney who resisted the progress of the interstate highway system as it crept closer to his beloved farm. The last of the Tenney maples was removed in March and the stump has been preserved. More pavilion photos: CLICK HERE Get Outdoors Last week we celebrated Earth Day.  After being cooped up during this pandemic and the long winter, it's time to get outside. Mother Nature has a way of restoring our energy. I always notice how more people are smiling when the sun is out and the weather is warm.  I highly recommend this natural form of therapy for your body and soul. The Kayak Krew paddle group is back on the water. We paddled Mascoma Lake on Tuesday evening April 20th. It was cold, and gray and windy but we did it.  And were rewarded with three loon sightings.
