Cannatrol Launches Cannabis Dryer

Image
WEATHERSFIELD, VERMONT – June 12, 2019 – PRESS RELEASE  Food Drying System Applied to Cannabis Drying and Curing Cannatrol  has announced the launch of its patent-pending Cannatrol Dry/Cure System, the first system to bring technology, science and complete control to the cannabis finishing process. Drying and curing ready-to-market legal cannabis harvests today is plagued by over-drying, inconsistent quality, waste, mold, sub-optimal profitability and overall poor consumer experience. Over-drying results in significant declines in production revenue, while controlled, proper drying can boost margins by as much as 5 percent. The Cannatrol Dry/Cure system provides a controlled, repeatable, chemical- and heat-free drying and curing solution, resulting in terpene retention, consistent quality and visually appealing cannabis products for all regulated medical and recreational applications. “Cannatrol’s patent-pending technology takes the guesswork out of cannabis drying and c

Hadestown--Anaïs Mitchell’s Folk Opera Up for 14 Tony's

The Hit Broadway Show Started in Vermont Singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell’s folk-opera retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus, a musician who ventures to the underworld to rescue his fiancée, Eurydice, had been a dream of Mitchell's for more than a decade before taking up residence in the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York City. The show had humble beginnings, starting as a DIY theater project in Mitchell’s home state of Vermont before becoming a concept album that developed a rabid fan base. (Yup, I'm one of these rabid fans!) I count myself lucky; I've seen various incarnations of Hadestown. From a show at the Woodstock Town Hall Theatre, in Woodstock, Vermont in 2010 to a performance of " America Sings Hadestown " in Hartford, Connecticut in 2011. It took on new life as an Off Broadway production, making stops in Edmonton and London before finding a home on the Great White Way. I still have not seen a performance but I'm hopeful as the run was extended t

Dr. John Dies at Age 77

Image
Funky New Orleans Musician Performed in 2009 at Suicide Six Ski Area for Pentangle Arts Dr. John, the New Orleans singer and piano player who blended black and white musical styles with a hoodoo-infused stage persona and gravelly bayou drawl, died Thursday, his family said. He was 77. In a statement released through his publicist, the family said Dr. John, who was born Mac Rebennack, died “toward the break of day” of a heart attack. They did not say where he died or give other details. He had not been seen in public much since late 2017, when he canceled several gigs. He had been resting at his New Orleans area home, publicist Karen Beninato said last year in an interview. Memorial arrangements were being planned. “The family thanks all whom have shared his unique musical journey, and requests privacy at this time,” the statement said.
