Festivities begin with the Red, White & Blue 6.2, 5K & Fun Run at 9:30 a.m. Entertainment during weekly Farmers Market (4-7 p.m.) features juggler Jason Tardy. Music performances at Colburn Park include The Flames at 5 p.m. and Haley Jane and the Primates at 7:30. The fireworks show at Storrs Hill Ski Area begins at 9:20 p.m.

On summer tour, VSO performs works of Bernstein, Copland, Gershwin, Artie Shaw, Tchaikovsky and Sousa, among others. Fireworks follow the concert, during Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever.
