Panther Cub Night is the event where all incoming fall Kindergarteners and their parents get to meet each other, participate in activities and learn who their new teacher will be. This event is held in the Kindergarten classrooms on May 28 from 5-6 p.m. The last Panther Pride Assembly for the school year will be June 6 at 1:35 p.m. News from PTA There will be a parent and 7th grade student informational meeting on May 7 at 6:15 p.m. in the AP room to start getting ready for the Oct. 5 Car Show. The rain date for the car show will be Oct. 6. The annual School Report Night is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4 5-6 p.m. in the AP Room. Pizza, salad and more plus fifteen stations to visit, complete with photos, storyboards, handouts, charts, graphs, and door prizes. More information about the school please call 802-674-5400.

Weathersfield Food Shelf in Perkinsville. The 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 1-3 p.m. WFS is located in the 1879 Schoolhouse at 1862 Route 106 in Perkinsville. Donations of nonperishable food are always welcomed and may be dropped off at the facility during open hours or placed in the collection box at Martin Memorial Hall. Weathersfield Walking Program in Ascutney is offered Monday-Friday, 7:35-7:50 a.m. Weathersfield School teachers and staff walk outside with any student who wants to participate. If the weather is bad or the temperature is too cold, then students and staff walk in the gym. Exercise and enjoy the outdoors.
Senior Exercise Program in Ascutney: Free. Sponsored by RSVP. Mondays and Wednesdays 10-11 a.m. in basement of Martin Memorial Hall, Route 5, Ascutney. Classes are led by Sandy Lemois. If interested call 674-5254 for more information.

1879 Perkinsville Schoolhouse Committee Seeks Volunteers. The 1879 Perkinsville Schoolhouse Committee needs willing hands to help with the ongoing task of renovating the 1879 Perkinsville District 1 school. No special skills are needed, and food will be provided. The next scheduled work dates are: May 11 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m..
