On a beautiful early fall Saturday dogs and their owners gathered at Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society's driveway to run either 1 mile or 5 Km in the 4th Annual Run for the Animals. Thirteen people competed in the 1 mile race and 30 people laced up and leashed up their four legged friends to run the 5 K race.

Thirteen people competed in the 1 mile race and 30 people laced up and leashed up their four legged friends to run the 5 K race.
In addition to their entrance fees, participants were encouraged to fund raise for the animal shelter. The Canine Crusaders from Lyme raised $350 and 15 year old Windsor native Lexi Goad raised $2300.
