Red Sox Three Championship Trophies Visit Windsor VT

The trio of World Series trophies won by the Boston Red Sox made a pit stop in Vermont this weekend during a Windsor-based antique car show. Locally-owned Cedar Hill Continuing Care Community hosted its 14th Annual Antique Car Show this past Sunday featuring tours of the facility’s latest wing and, of course, the three championship trophies won by the Red Sox.
“We are a very big Red Sox fan family,” said Patricia Horn, who co-owns the facility with her mother Mary Louise Sayles. Horn is the latest in a multi-generational line of Red Sox fans.

"We advertise on Red Sox radio (KOOL 93.9 out of Woodstock) so they contacted us about giving us a chance to have the three trophies for viewing and pictures.

Construction crews broke ground on a snowy February day on a $10 million upgrade to offer more residential and memory care units after Cedar Hill received approval from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for its insured mortgage. Once completed, the expansion will triple the physical space and resident capacity through the construction of a 20-patient memory care unit and another 20 independent, assisted-living apartments.

Sayles, a registered nurse herself, founded the facility in 1988 and has gone on to receive the Bronze Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living.

In addition to the facility tours, Cedar Hill hosted variety of activities during the classic car show; including music and old-fashioned root beer floats. But the largest turnout was for the Sox trophies.
