Little Shop of Horrors Takes Over Barnard Town Hall

BarnArts transformed the Barnard Town Hall into a skid row florist shop for their performance of "Little Shop of Horrors." The play opened this past weekend with more performances scheduled June 27-29, evening shows at 7:30, Sunday Matinee at 2 pm.

Garrett Inman gave a stellar performance as Seymour Krelborn, a down-and-out skid row floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he stumbles across a new breed of plant that he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush.

This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination! 

One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this charmingly tongue-in-cheek comedy has been produced worldwide to incredible success thanks to Howard Ashman and Alan Menken who are the creative geniuses behind the pop/rock musical.

The fully staged production features local principals Garrett Inman as Seymour and Molly Ziegler as Audrey. Three singers from Manhattan play the Street Urchins, Adewonu Ogunfowora as Crystal, Daejane Lettman as Chiffon, Tesia Kwarteng as Ronnette. The cast also includes locals Jay Lambert as Mr. Mushnik, Neal Cronce as Audrey II, William Sawyer as Orin Scrivello/Bernstein/Skip Snip, Elyse Deneige as Mrs. Luce, Abbie Levison as Customer/Patricia Martin, and Corey Armstrong as Puppeteer.
