Vermont Golden Honey Festival Looking Forward to Their 10th Year in 2022

Proctorsville, VT-Saturday, September 11 people gathered at the Golden Stage Inn Bed and Breakfast in Proctorsville to celebrate all things honey.

In it's 9th year, the festival features well, honey but so much more. This year saw vendors selling honey mead, pasture raised beef, Vermont themed crafts, raw honey, reusable kitchen wraps, hot sauces and bbq sauces, honey gin, smoked meats, all natural skin cream, pure maple syrup, handmade jewelry, baked goods, handmade fabric dolls, roasted nuts, handmade soaps, hot fudge and caramel, and lots more booths.

Interested in becoming a bee keeper-they had information booths with people to answer questions you may have about starting your own colonies.

There were many vendors selling their honey.

And lots of craft items were for sale too. Check out some of the photos I took (Festival Photos)

One big draw each year is Goodman's American Pie Wood Fired Honey Apple Pizza.

Yup, you read that right, honey apple pizza. And let me tell you it was AWESOME!

It starts with some fresh Vermont Macs (or Gallos)

The crust is thrown and some cheese is added.

The apple slices are added.

Honey gets drizzled over the top and into the oven it goes. In like 10 minutes you have a yummy pie.

This wood fired pizza truck was built as a result of the Goodman's coaxing Lynn at the Golden Stage Inn to host the Honey Festival nine years ago. She hosted and they built it.

Next year is the festival's 10th anniversary and they are already making plans and signing up vendors.

The only requirement to have a booth is something you sell needs to have something even loosely associated with bees or honey.

They have a limited number of spaces so if you are a vendor, you should contact them sooner rather than later. You can follow the event on the FACEBOOK PAGE

It's held the second Saturday of September-so mark your calendars now for the 10th on Septbemer 10th, 2022.
