Chocolate Auction In Hartland

In case you missed it...
Every year, for the last 12 years, the First Universalist Society of Hartland VT hosts a Valentine's Chocolate Auction on the Sunday before Valentine's Day. Close to 70 people were fiercely bidding against each other in the fundraiser for the UU Society of Hartland.

In addition, a raffle was held for $100 gift certificate to the Skink Hollow Tavern. The lucky winner was Kim Aakre.

In her second year as children's table auctioneer, Caitlin Seville helped open the event during the Hat Ceremony by placing hats on adult auctioneers Glenn Walker and Todd Lloyd.
A chocolate mocha cake made by the minister's wife-Katy Saywer went for $150 and the Gretchen Ocasio (Skunk Hollow) chocolate raspberry cake went for $155 but didn't go home with the winner. Mike Theroux won the chocolate raspberry creation and had it cut up to share with everyone who attended the auction.
