BRIC’s “Shiny New Things” Holiday Bash 5-9 p.m. The Black River Innovation Campus (BRIC) in Springfield, Vermont announced its upcoming 2019 Holiday Social, “Shiny New Things.” This is a one-of-a-kind event for the burgeoning tech communities of the greater Springfield, Vermont and New Hampshire regions to connect while exploring the myriad of gigabit internet opportunities championed by the region’s newest economic development engine.

“Shiny New Things” features opportunities for guests to test the world’s hottest technical and digital wares while listening to DJ Davis spin the beats: Virtual Reality, optimized gaming, app-enabled tabletop games, robotics, movies, music, and more. Food and beverages will be available via local vendors. All ages are invited and encouraged to attend! Friday, December 20

Early Release Day  Students at the Weathersfield School will be dismissed at noon on Friday, December 20. Prior to release the school will host their annual Holiday Sing-Along in the gym, from 8:10-9 a.m. The school admins. are asking that students wear a cool holiday sweater.
A visit from Santa  Santa will visit the Weathersfield Proctor Library on Friday evening from 6:30-8 p.m. Join them for festive treats, hot cocoa and a reading of a holiday story. More info call (802) 674-2863

Pot Luck Community Dinner at Weathersfield School 5:30 p.m. The WS School Board is hosting a community dinner for families and community members at school at 5:30 pm. All are welcome. The school will provide soup and salad dinner. If you want to bring a hot dish, feel free to do so. Dinner is at 5:30 and at 6:15 pm, the BAC and the Board would like to present next year’s budget and to seek your input. Child care will be provided at this time in the gym.
