35th Annual Wassail Weekend Wrap

Last weekend Woodstock, Vermont celebrated their 35th Annual Wassail Weekend. The weather wasn't the best for the weekend's events but the crowds didn't seem to mind. I was there on assignment for The Vermont Standard.

There were so many events packed into this three day period, it was quite a challenge to attend them all but I tried to hit as many as I could.

Norman Williams Public library hosted storytelling.

The First Congregational Church hosted a community caroling.

I really enjoyed people watching on Saturday before the parade. So many people were visiting from "away".

Then there was the parade, hosted by High Horses Riding.

I think I even saw a few unicorns!

After the parade, carols were sung.

And the Yule Log was lit using the ember from last year's yule log.

That was my Saturday last week. There were more events but I was cold and tired. And I had more to cover on Sunday.

Sunday, Union Arena hosted a Skate with Santa.

Santa moved his sleigh and reindeer over to the Town Hall Theatre where he sat with some children before Pentangle Arts screened the Grinch Movie.

To close Wassail Weekend, Pentangle Arts hosted their 36th Annual Community Messiah Sing.
