The Moon at Weathersfield Proctor Library Sept. 4 7-8:30 p.m.-Claudio Veliz to speak
Weathersfield Proctor Library is hosting a talk on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 7-8:30 p.m.
Learn about the formation of our solar system in general and of the Moon in particular; some of the major features of the Moon, with reference to the lunar landings which took place fifty years ago, and the influence of the Moon on arts and culture on Earth.
Claudio Veliz has taught astrophysics at Columbia University and currently teaches at Keene State College. He is an architect whose firm is in Chester, VT and in Manhattan.
Rick Bates, former library board of trustee chair, also a SoVerA member, has at times assisted Claudio in his classes at Keene State.
