Weathersfield Weekly Blog, December 6

Let’s hope everyone’s power has been restored by now. That was one bad early season storm we experienced last week. A lot of friends had power out for close to a week. Here on the Center Road, we survived with just a few flickers of our electricity. With that mess behind me, I can now start to plan out my holiday events. And there are so many to choose from: Holiday Open Houses, visits from Santa, readings of the Polar Express, The Nutcracker. All these things should help me pass this winter with a smile on my face. Maybe they can help you get through this season too. Some things of note are the Geminid meteor showers. Shooting starts are expected Dec. 7-16, so dress warmly and get outside. Also, the solstice is Dec. 21 and after that it starts to get light again. Yeah!

Holland Powers Services from Ottawa were in the area for over a week restoring power in Windsor County.
