On Saturday the First Congregational Church of Hartland hosted one of the annual six Hartland’s “Famous Roast Beef Suppers.” The suppers have been held for more than 35 years. They run for consecutive Saturdays, beginning in late January.
The kitchen and dining room staff consists of 25+ people who work 3 consecutive suppers and include people from the entire Hartland community. The All You Can Eat meal includes: roast beef, home made pies, rolls, and various side dishes. Three more suppers are scheduled: Feb. 7, Feb.14 (Valentine's Day) and Feb. 21. This year the suppers are hosting over 300 people each Saturday. The Ladies Benevolence group also hosts a supper on Saturday of Columbus Day Weekend in October.
