On Saturday The Edge Sports and Fitness at Ascutney Mountain Resort hosted their inaugural Big Foot 5K Snow Shoe and Bonfire.
On Saturday The Edge Sports and Fitness at Ascutney Mountain Resort hosted their inaugural Big Foot 5K Snow Shoe and Bonfire.
The 5K loop followed the trail used by the Five And Dime Race and was "illuminated" by Tiki torches. Children and well behaved dogs were invited and a bonfire with S'Mores were waiting at the finish line. Great River Outfitters had snow shoes available to rent for those wanting to try the sport. Twenty -six people had pre-registered but when the event started at 10 a.m. about 40 people were ready to tackle the trail.
