Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat Comes to Pentangle in Woodstock VT

Rehearsals have begun in earnest for Pentangle Arts Council’s amateur production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat", lyrics by Tim Rice with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. This is a Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors that comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Joseph, his father’s favorite son, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. As time passes and he rises to fame and fortune, he encounters the brothers who betrayed him. Will he seek revenge or reconciliation?

A variety of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to rock and roll, will make this musical something fun to watch.
