News You Can Use ICYMI (In case You Missed It) Dan Foster House Clean-up Day May 14 On May 14 from 8-10 am, the Weathersfield Historical Society will host the annual clean up day at the Dan Foster House.  Please bring your own tools. There will be both indoor and outdoor work. Items needed for the indoor clean-up include: dusters and dust rags as well as shop vacs and extension cords. Outside equipment needed are garden tools and rakes as well as a tarp or two for for hauling branches.  Fruit and muffins and coffee will be available. Volunteers are welcome for any amount of time they can donate. Weathersfield Proctor Library Easter Egg Hunt Hoisington Field, Perkinsville VT News You Can Use ICYMI (In case You Missed It) Easter Egg Hunt Hoisington Field, Perkinsville VT April 16, 2022 The weather held and the hunt was on promptly at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Over 1500 eggs-stuffed with candy and prizes (stuffed by some very dedicated volunteers!), small tubs of Play Dough, jars of bubbles and lots of stickers were "hidden" in and around Hoisington Field. As a bonus eight hand painted wooden eggs were hidden and if found could be exchanged for one of these HUGE Easter Baskets. The eggs were scattered and waited for the children to scoop them up. There was a special area for children under 3.  All other age groups were separated by 30 seconds so everyone had a fair chance to fill their baskets.  After most of the eggs were collected, Glenna put out the "backup" eggs and was followed around like a fish stocking truck.
