Windsor County Quilts at The Billings Farm & Museum, 28th Year

The 28th Annual Quilt Exhibition opened this past weekend at the Billings Farm and Museum. residents of Windsor County were asked to enter their quilts , if made within the last two years, to this juried exhibition.

This year's "Challenge" quilts theme, made by The Delectable Mountain Quilters, is “Memories of Edith” a tribute to guild member Edith Artz from Rochester, VT. Sixteen quilts in the challenge require specific design and construction rules agreed upon by guild members, with the goal of improving their quilting skills. The challenge quilts were made with fabric scraps given out at Edith Artz's Memorial Service.

The Exhibition runs through September 21 and the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite quilt as the People's Choice Award will be given out in late August/early September.
