Laura Perry Farrell and Julia Hutchinson O'Brien The race preparation started last year as soon as the 24th Annual Race was cleaned up. And thanks to mother nature this past weekend, the 25th Annual Vermont 100 Endurance Run or Ride went off pretty much without a glitch (if you don't count the main tent blowing away Thursday night in the Thunderstorms!) The race is held every year to benefit Vermont Adaptive , a program founded by Laura Perry Farrell (pictured above) to provide sports and recreational opportunities to individuals with disabilities/handicaps, regardless of their ability to pay. The race had been run for many years by Julia Hutchinson's Dad. When "Hutch" passed away suddenly after a race one year, his daughter stepped up and took over as race director and has been doing a phenomenal job since (even running the race this year with her TWO MONTH OLD BABY GIRL!!) July 8, 2013 30 years ago today, Jay and I were married by a Justice of the Peace in Amherst MA. We both had just graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with our bachelors degrees. Our wedding pics were taken at the Hampshire Mall  "Old Fashioned Photos" Studio then we checked into the Hotel Northampton for our honeymoon evening of lobster dinners and champagne! And a Red Sox loss, OY. About a month later my Mom and Dad hosted a potluck BBQ at their house in Lynnfield MA and we celebrated with friends and family! Then we drove to Quebec City and Montreal for our honeymoon! Saturday June 29, 2013 Bentleys Restaurant Woodstock VT A Gatsby Costume Party coincided with the screening of the remake of "The Great Gatsby" at the Town Hall Theater. It was a " Who Is Sylvia? " Party Production and so much fun. It all started with a 6 PM 1920's Cocktail Hour at Bentleys on Saturday evening.  Bentley's featured a special party menu of: Shrimp Cocktail, Prosciutto Wrapped Grilled Asparagus, Pineapple Pork with Arugula Salad or Smoke Salmon Crostini with capers. They also offered a few special cocktails such as Side Cars , The Gatsby Martini, The Fizz and Champagne. The cocktail hour entertainment was provided by Sue Gabriel and the Blue Moo Jazz Muze. A short walk to the Town Hall to watch the film.  Then back to Bentleys, where the party got going for real with Live Ragtime & Jazz being served up 1920's style; late dinner and more cocktails, dancing and a costume contest took place.  Cost...
