The NOCS rock Ridgefield Playhouse
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals rocked the house at the Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield CT Sunday night September 12, 2010.
The Nocturnals took the stage at 8:15 and got the crowd clapping. Catherine Popper, on bass, looked like an Egyptian Princess! The guys were in their usual suits but Scott Tournet was sporting a new haircut/style.
Grace Potter walk on stage in leopard print wedge heels looking like a Greek Goddess; much to the delight of the fans in the Playhouse.
They broke into "That Phone" and rocked 45 minutes ending the first set with "Tiny Light".
After a 20 minute break, the Acoustic Trio-Potter, Scott Tournet and Benny Yurco returned to the stage for acoustic renditions of "Ain't no Time" from their album "This Is Somewhere" and "Treat Me Right" off the "Nothing But The Water" album.
Burr and Popper re-joined the trio and the band kicked it in with "Fooling Myself". The band played until 10-ish then returned for encores of "White Rabbit", "Paris" and "Nothing but the Water"
Good Nocturnals show--very high energy and good audience response to the new third CD self-titled, "Grace Potter and the Nocturnals". The set list consisted mostly of the new CD songs. This reporter would prefer more OLD songs but we take what we can get. The Nocturnals energy and performances still made the six hour round trip drive worth it!!
Set list:
That Phone
Oasis
Apologies
Money
One Short Night
Low Road
Ah Mary
Colors
Tiny Light
Aint' No Time (Acoustic Trio)
Treat Me Right (Acoustic Trio)
Fooling Myself

Only Love
