August 1 found Photos by Nanci at Fenway parking watching the Boston Red Sox taking on the Detroit Tigers. Damon wasn't playing, Ordonez wasn't playing but it was still a close game until Scutaro hit a bunt walk off RBI--WHAT??

August 6 found Photos by Nanci at one of her favorite venues to see/hear live music
TUPELO MUSIC HALL in Londonderry NH. Scott Hayward runs a great place here and he's opening a
Tupelo White River VT in October!! THANK YOU SCOTT!! Anyway back to August 6,
Shelby Lynne was at Tupelo; heard her recently on a duet with Peter Wolf on his new CD and thought I should check this woman out. She may be small but she is a powerhouse musician!

Something new for Photos by Nanci happened the weekend of August 7-8 at Storrs Pond in Hanover NH. The
Stoaked Off Road Triathlon. I was asked by the race director to take photos of the events of the weekend and who knew photographing something other than concerts could be so much fun!!

I'd heard many of Colbie's songs on the POINT FM radio station so I knew she had a sweet voice but I was WOW'd by her stage presence. She put on a very good show!

The last time I saw Sheryl Crow was at Riley Rink in Manchester NH for her "C'mon, C'mon" CD tour. So it's been a while. She's looking a little older but having two kids under four will do that to you. She may be sleep deprived from the kids but her vocals and stage energy are definitely not suffering from her role as mom!

The first couple of weeks of August ended with an epic show by one of Vermont's own--
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. They played at the
Lake Champlain Maritime Festival on the Waterfront in Burlington VT on August 14. The show opened with
Sean Bones. We saw him back up GPN and
Brett Dennen at the
House Blues in Boston MA back in November 2009.
