First Coltsfoot Sighting, April 10, 2022 News You Can Use ICYMI (In case You Missed It) The Transfer Station IS Closed on Easter Sunday The Easter Sunday closure isn't on the Town Website or the Transfer Station page but the past two Sundays there was a hand-written cardboard sign posted at the Transfer Station fence announcing the closure. Town Manager Brandon Gulnik responded to my question about the closure "the Transfer Station will be closed on Easter Sunday. The Transfer Station workers are paid for this holiday. No other town employees are paid for this holiday. This started prior to 2020. According to Human Resources & the Highway Superintendent, this was extended to transfer station employees because they miss out on many other paid holidays." There you have it folks, the Transfer Station will be closed Sunday April 17 -please plan accordingly and spread the word.
