WFLD Select Board meets Tonight-More Budget Discussion

The Weathersfield Select Board is scheduled to meet this evening at 7 p.m. at Martin Memorial Hall (in the basement.) The meeting agenda is posted online. Select Board Agenda.
Agenda Includes
The board will be interviewing various social services agencies to determine if funding by taxpayers should continue. There will be continued discussion about the town's fire coverage. And the board is still looking to fill about 17 volunteer positions for various local and regional committees and commissions. Four Budget Committee positions remain open. Volunteers interested in serving on the Budget Committee are encouraged to attend tonight's meeting.
Budget discussion and approval of the annual town meeting warning will round out the evening.

The proposed Administration expense budget appears to be up 8.3 % from FY2018.
The proposed Solid Waste expense budget appears to be down 1.8 % from FY2018.
The proposed Town Fire expense budget appears to be up 5.1 % from FY2018. But the two fire departments are down 10% for Ascutney and 5% for West Weathersfield.
The proposed Police Department and Treasurers expense budgets appear to be flat from FY2018.
The proposed Town Clerk's expense budget appears to be missing page 2 so no budget details can be reported.
The proposed Listers expense budget appears to be up 21.7 % from FY2018.
The proposed Planning and Zoning expense budget appears to be up 2.0 % from FY2018.
