Damon Hall, Hartland VT

The fall production by ArtisTree Theatre Company is Neil Simon's "Laughter on the 23rd Floor." Instead of showing the play in South Pomfret or Woodstock, it is being performed in Damon Hall, Hartland. Laughter is a funny, heartfelt comedy inspired by the playwrights' experience as a staff writer on Sid Caesar's television show "Your Show of Shows." Set in Manhattan in 1953, Damon Hall has been transformed into an office on the 23rd floor housing the writers for Max Prince, star of a TV comedy show. The co-workers are faced with changing times in American (the McCarthy Blacklist) and television network executives push for different types of shows.

The play is directed by Jarvis Green and runs Nov 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov 15 at 5 p.m.. Tickets are general admission and may be purchased by calling 802.457.3500 or online at
