Winter Events 2012

On Thursday November 8, 2012 Pentangle’s Dana Emmons Arts in Education Program hosted Flamenco Dance Project: ¡Flamenqueeando! About 350 area school children including some from Mr. Pelky’s 6th grade Woodstock Elementary Class, The Newton School, Pomfret Elementary, Bridgewater Elementary, Cavendish Elementary, Black River High School, Albert Bridge School and Ludlow Elementary were in attendance. The folks from Bridgewater gathered Saturday evening November 17, 2012 at the Bridgewater Grange to enjoy a community potluck followed by some joyful music performed by the Birdgewater Community Chorus and the Bridgewater Village School children. Dinner was from 5:30-6:30 and then the entertainment began upstairs in the grange at 6:30.

Woodstock Farmers’ Market has moved inside for the winter. The group is now located at the Masonic Temple on Elm Street. They are open for business the fourth Saturday of every month (except April—the third Saturday) through the spring. Stop by for the best and freshest from local farms and artisans.

Every Saturday and Sunday through December 16 you can visit Lynn VanNatta’s Studio on Shattuck Hill in West Windsor and shop for gifts made by Lynn and her friends Paula Waters, Brownsville, and Nancy Lanove, Springfield. VanNatta, who teaches at the ArtisTree in Woodstock, specializes in oil with a focus on pet portraits. Waters enjoys working with wood and Lanove loves tp paint in watercolors. The Studio is open from 10 AM-3 PM for your shopping pleasure.
