Springsteen Plays SOLD OUT Times Union Center

The Pit People
Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band roared into Albany NY Monday night for a SOLD OUT show at the Times Union Center.
The band played close to three hours and left the crowd very satisfied by mixing in some old songs along with songs from Springsteen's current release "Wrecking Ball".

Memorable Audible

From Backstreets.com

The biggest BUSA treat of the night came after the "Apollo Medley," as Springsteen pulled a sign from the pit and called an audible. "We haven't played this in a long time," he said while strumming the chords, and he decided to go it alone for "I'm Goin' Down" B-side "Janey Don't You Lose Heart." He added a dedication: "This is for Molly, in memory of her mom, Jane." A poignant moment came at the end of the solo acoustic surprise, as Bruce called for a sing-along: "Everybody one time with Molly." He channeled that emotion into the "Backstreets" that followed; like "Downbound Train," there was nothing rote about it, Bruce living out the song in his delivery.
Patti remains absent. On the setlist but not played: "Two Hearts," The River," "American Skin (41 Shots)," and, as a possible post-"Tenth Avenue" bonus, "Sherry Darling." Tonight was probably a snot-rocket record for the tour so far, though if Bruce was feeling under the weather, you wouldn't have known it from his vocals or his energy level.

During the second SOLD OUT show at Madison Square Garden on Monday April 9 night the 'boss' from NJ said he was "here tonight to find 'commonality' between peoples." In his introduction to "My City Of Ruins" he told the crowd that no matter where you're from "you are all going home tonight with your asses sore, and your feet sore, and your hands sore and your voices hoarse tonight."

Three down (Boston, NJ, NYC) one to go (Albany) on this leg of the tour!!

Springsteen plays Two Nights at Madison Square Garden

We were lucky to get tickets for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's SOLD OUT show at Madison Square Garden Monday April 9 and sat on Steve Van Zandt's side of the stage. While waiting for the show to begin we saw NJ Governor Chris Christie escorted to his seat, then New York Jets Quarterback Tim Tebow get shown his seat, our seats were only slightly behind these two celebs.

The epic show lasted close to three (3) hours and saw the oldies we all look for like: 'Out In the Street', 'Spirit in the Night', 'Because the Night', 'Backstreets', and 'Rosalita'. I'm a little bummed that the likes of  'Candy's Room' and 'Ties That Bind' got bounced for 'Thundercrack' but I guess Bruce felt he played 'Thundercrack' in Boston, he should play it in NYC.
