Grace Potter and the Nocturnals Add 4th Higher Ground Date

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are returning to Burlington Vermont for their annual New Year's Eve run at Higher Ground. The band originally booked three shows, December 28, 29 and 31 offering fans a discounted three day pass, but when these three shows sold out the band and venue announced a fourth show for January 1, TICKETS are on sale now.

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals (GPN) are coming off an amazing year. And what better way to celebrate than with the home town fans!

This Waitsfield Vermont based band released their self titled album "Grace Potter and the Nocturnals" this past summer and since then these kids from Vermont are on a rock and roll rocket heading for the stars.

The Nocturnals have appeared on national TV many times:
Ellen twice with "Tiny Light" and again for "Paris" ;

The Tonight Show with Leno twice with "Paris" then Potter sitting in with the band;

On Jimmey Kimmell performing "Paris" and "Medicine";

Recently they performed on Vh1 Divas Salute to the Troops with the legendary rockers HEART.

Earlier in the year Potter recorded a duet with Kenny Chesney-"You and Tequila".

And, the kids from Vermont will be on David Letterman TONIGHT (set your DVRs)

The band has had two songs in feature films: a remake of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" (a song that Paste Magazine lists as the 14th BEST remake of 2010) in Tim Burton's film Alice in Wonderland/Almost Alice soundtrack
and a song in the Disney movie Tangled.

The Nocturnals' song "Paris" is also being used to promote the new NBC superhero drama "The Cape" airing in January 2011.

Management has confirmed that Potter will be performing the National Anthem at the New York Knicks/Chicago Bulls basketball game on Christmas Day on ESPN at noon.

This band is soaring into the stratosphere! Their tour schedule is posted on their site with more dates being added. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

Catch them on the road if you can and you will not be disappointed. Their ticket pricing is extremely reasonable for the show they put on. It will be "worth the price of admission!"

 But for those of us who have been following this band for years, we're just happy to get see them for four nights next week at Higher Ground while they are taking a rest and refuel in the green mountain state!

The burning question for the Vermont crowd attending the New Year's Eve Higher Ground show is which movie (if any) will the band pick for this year's show??

 GPN started this "tradition" a few years back performing during their second set skits from various movies. Previous performances include:
"Dazed and Confused", "The Royal Tannebaums" and last year's "Top Gun." The skits end with a champagne toast at midnight, followed by an encore with friends and family onstage with the band.

By now the hints are usually being dropped but so far the fans are in the dark. Let's hope these future mega-stars will continue this crazy, creative tradition for the Vermont fans rabid to enjoy a different side to the band that some may think are going "Hollywood". Might we go so far as to suggest either "The Breakfast Club" or "The Big Chill".

Skit or no skit, this year GPN has lots to celebrate and their devoted fans (The Potterville Posse) will be front and center toasting them!
