Grace Potter and the Nocturnals (GPN) return to the Lebanon Opera House for a performance May 29, Memorial Day Weekend, to benefit Child and Family Services of NH (CFSNH). This is CFSNH 25th Anniversary of Concerts for a Cause , the fundraising branch of CFSNH. GPN is about to release their third CD entitled "Grace Potter and the Nocturnals" on June 8. The first single off the CD, "Tiny Light" can now be heard on the website THIS IS SOMEWHERE . This Vermont-based band is on the verge of breaking out so being able to see them in an intimate venue like the Lebanon Opera House is a treat that should not be missed. GPN is made up of original band members: Grace Potter, on vocals, guitars and Hammond B3 organ; Matt Burr on pounding drums and Scott Tournet on many, many guitars and backing vocals. John Hiatt and the Combo rolled into Lebanon NH and rocked the Opera House Tuesday evening March 9. Hiatt and band are out on the road promoting their new CD "The Open Road." The tour opened last week in Albany and has made its way around the northeast, landing thankfully at the Lebanon Opera House . Hiatt opened the show joking with the crowd that he was glad to be back in "Leba-non" not "Leb-a-non". He wanted to pronounce it correctly because he knows "how sensitive folks can be." Then he joked that folks back home have reduced the name to just two syllables-"leb-nan" Hiatt was accompanied by Doug Lancio on all things with strings, Patrick O'Hearn on various bass instruments and Mega-New Orleans Saints fan and awesome drummer, Ken Blevins.
