Key West Adventure-Sunrise, Key West Cemetery, First Flight Lunch

January 19 Sunrise, Key West Cemetery and First Flight Lunch I’m up early so I grab the cameras and head across the street to watch the sunrise. I’m very early so I sit and watch the fishing boats leave Stock Island for their day at sea. Around 7 a.m. the sky starts to lighten up. Then the sky turns orange and yellow. The morning light here is amazing. As you can see in the photo above, it was a stellar sunrise. I meet Jay back at the room and head to breakfast. Then it’s into the shuttle van for our ride to The Waterfront Brewery on William St. and we make our way towards the  The Key West Cemetery .  When we travel, we love to visit cemeteries and graveyards. We love looking at the old stones and artwork and reading about the people who once lived in the town's we're staying in. This cemetery was established in 1847 after a hurricane washed bodies out from their previous location, and many of the graves are now above ground (similar to New Orleans) due to the high water tabl...
