Weathersfield Weekly Blog, November 20

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all enjoyed the snow storm on Friday. I’m sure the hunters loved it. I know when I got outside there were so many wildlife tracks in our yard. It was fun following them. Shoveling-not so much fun. I wanted to send a shout out to all the Turkey Trotters who will be running Thanksgiving Thursday morning to raise money for various local non-profits. Good on you all!

Adventures and Assignments

We had a crazy week of music this past week. Saturday I photographed The Logger and The Fiddler for Lebanon Opera House; Sunday I photographed Lucinda Williams for Kirschner Concerts; Tuesday we saw The Richard Thompson's  Electric Trio at the Academy of Music in Northampton MA; Thursday we saw Shawn Mullins at the UVM Recital Hall in Burlington and Saturday we ended up in Manchester Vt....
Billsville House Concerts; a place were music is the focus and up and coming talent is the highlight.

Mary-Elaine Jenkins opened the show. Remember this name. She's a rising star in the folk scene. And we've added her to our "must see whenever she's around" list.

The headliners Saturday night were a favorite band of ours that we've been following for a few years- Lula Wiles. These three women are so talented and are just a joy to see, hear and talk with.

Lula Wiles band has a new CD coming out January 25 that can be pre-ordered on their website. It's called "What Will We Do." We heard a few songs Saturday night and I know I'll be picking up this CD as soon as it comes out.

Lula Wiles will be at The Flying Goose Brew Pub in New London, NH on Dec 6 and performing a Lebanon Opera House "LOH on Location" show on Feb 8. I encourage to check this band out, you'll not be disappointed.
