Weathersfield News November 25, 2015 Nancy Nutile-McMenemy photosbynanci@comcast.net Happy Thanksgiving folks. Ah, the start of the winter holiday season. Food, family, shopping, craft fairs, and lots of stress. One thing I try to tell myself this time of year is celebrate the true meaning of Thanksgiving-Give Thanks. I've made it through another year. Some of us haven't faired so well. This time of year brings joy to some but darkness to others and I don't just mean the early dark afternoons. Try to reach out to people you may not other wise encounter in your normal daily lives. Visit a nursing home or elder care facility and just sit with someone. Visit the VA in White River Junction and say "thank you" to the veterans and their caregivers.   Buy a

Set in the woods outside of Geneva Switzerland in 1988, the play focuses on final years of the cold war between the United States and the Soviet Union The nuclear arsenals held by these super powers were threatening to destroy the planet. The play is a dialogue between negotiators for each country. The script focuses more on the frustrations felt by these two very different men than on the political issues going on in their respective countries. Andrey Botvinnik (Brownsville's own Kevin Fitzpatrick-who designed the lighting for Pentangle's "Rocky Horror" and ArtisTree's "Laughter on the 23rd Floor") and John Honeyman (Alan Haehnel an English teacher living in Hartford) start out as potential enemies, even though An
