Our Neighbor Ashley Needs Our Support!

The Vermont Game Wardens Association is seeking your generosity to help the family of a fellow Vermont Game Warden.

Jason Gravelle has been a valued member of the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement Division since 2011. Unfortunately, Jason's wife Ashley has been struggling to beat a long battle with breast cancer. Despite four rounds of chemotherapy, the cancer has spread and Ashley is currently unable to work. Jason has had to take time off of work to help Ashley and take care of their two young children. The Gravelle family are our neighbors in West Windsor Vermont.
5 and Dime Race Donating 50% of Race Registrations
In addition to the Vermont Game Wardens Association efforts to raise money for the Gravelle family, the organizers of the 5 and Dime Race at Mount Ascutney were gracious enough to donate 50% of the registration fees to the Gravelle family.

You may register for the race and find more information about the race at the link below:

The race will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 and includes a 5K and a 10K race
(hence the 5 and Dime name!).

Benefit BBQ-Mark Your Calendars!
There will also be a barbecue after the race June 21st for $10 per person hosted by the Vermont Game Wardens Association. The barbecue will include two pigs, hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas, and sides. 100% of the proceeds from the barbecue will go directly to the Gravelle family.

Over $35,590 raised by 391 people in 5 days.
Vermont Game Wardens Association goal was to raise $10,000 for the Gravelle family to offset living expenses. In five days close to $40,000 has been raised!

Any donation, no matter how small, would be of great help. Even if you can't contribute, please share and pass along the link to others. Any left over money will be put into a college fund for their two children. Please help the Vermont Game Wardens Association give back to one of its own!

For those who cannot attend the run, but would like to donate, please go to http://www.gofundme.com/gravellebenefit

Dave Taddei, Central District Game Warden writes:
We have received a lot of questions regarding where hard copy checks can be sent.

If you wish to send a check (which will not be subject to gofundme fees) please send it to:
Warden Richard Watkin
PO Box 517
Wilmington, VT 05363

Please make checks out to The Vermont Game Wardens Association.

Thank you again for your continued support!!
The Gravelle family and the VGWA has been floored by your generosity!

Photos by Nanci probably won't run, no definitely won't run, but I will be at the BBQ taking pictures and helping out anyway I can!!
