24th Vermont 100 a HUGE Success

The third weekend of July sees the annual Vermont 100 mile Ride and Run; a horse and ultra-marathon race that weaves it way around West Windsor, Woodstock, Pomfret, Reading and Brownsville. The race proceeds benefit Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. This year was the 24th Annual Ride and Run with 290-100 mile runners starting the race at 4 AM on Saturday morning. This year also saw the inaugural 100K race with 35 runners making the 8 AM race start. The horse race consists of a 100, a 75 and a 50-mile endurance ride. Race organizers have lots planned for the 25th anniversary next July including a T-shirt design contest that could land the winner a free race registration.
